Teaching and Training - Nuclear Medicine Service
The Nuclear Medicine Service participates in various training and teaching practices coordinated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.
Degrees
The professionals of the Service participate as lecturers in the Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences degrees at the Faculty of Medicine, and in the Physics degree at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona. They also supervise final degree projects for the respective degrees in which they teach.
Postgraduate and master's degrees
The professionals of the Service participate as lecturers in the Master's programs in Senology and Breast Pathology, Neurosciences, Translational Medicine, Advanced Medical Competencies, Biomedicine, and Nuclear Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona. They also supervise Master's theses for the respective programs in which they teach, as well as doctoral theses for the Medicine and Biomedicine programs at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona.
Nurse training
The Service also participate in the "Training Course for Operators of Radioactive Facilities" and in the practical sessions for students of the Higher Technician in Diagnostic Imaging.
Specialised training
Each year a nuclear medicine resident and a radiopharmacy resident are incorporated into the Service. The specialized health training period is: Nuclear Medicine (four years) and Radiopharmacy (three years).
