Teaching and Training - Neonatology Service

The Neonatology Service has a continuing education plan for the Service's healthcare professionals and its own teaching program for students, residents and external specialists.

It also participates in the training of the nursing team in the specialties of neonatology, midwives, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, training stays for foreign and local doctors and paediatricians, etc.

The Neonatology Service participates in the training of the MIR specialty in Pediatrics and specific areas (from the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, Parc de Salut Mar and Hospital de Terrassa) and three Masters in Neonatology per year in collaboration with the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona.

The Service also has a teaching program on improvement, scientific methodology, prematurity, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (ASD), neonatal CPR, neonatal ventilation and air leaks, among others.
