Internal Medicine Service

The Internal Medicine Service is part of the Clinical Institute of Medicine and Dermatology of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. It is dedicated to the diagnosis of patients with nonspecific or systemic symptoms, or with rare diseases that are difficult to treat in other specialties, whether in an inpatient or outpatient setting. The main objective of the Service is to provide comprehensive care to those with chronic illnesses and who suffer from decompensation.

The Internal Medicine Service participates in the following HealthCare Units and Areas:

• Central Sensitization Syndromes Unit (Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity)
• Heart Failure
• Atrial Fibrillation
• Vascular access

The Service also works in coordination with the Transversal Home Hospitalization Program.
