Side effects of Tuberculosis

Reading time: 1 min

Like any other medicine, antibiotics to treat tuberculosis may have harmful or toxic effects in a small proportion of patients.

To ensure the treatment does not cause harm and that the disease improves and is finally cured, the medical team will indicate a series of follow-up visits, sputum analyses, blood tests and x-rays for the patient. The patient must contact the medical team if in any doubt about the treatment or if new symptoms appear.
