Tinnitus treatment at Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

The patient who arrives at the Clinic has been previously visited by a primary care health professional who has done an otoscopy and ruled out problems in the auditory canal, wax blockages, mucus or other diseases that can influence the patient's hearing.

An audiometry is performed at the Clinic and, depending on the results, the patient is visited by an ear, nose and throat specialist who decides if any of the following are needed: an audio prosthesis or an imaging study or therapy to handle the anxiety or depression that tinnitus can cause.

In general, given the benign nature of tinnitus and the improved tolerance to it over time, follow-up is usually performed from primary care.
