Reading time: 1 min

Leptospirosis can be treated with antibiotics, although this is not necessary in the majority of cases, as the patient can recover spontaneously.

In cases where people have symptoms, or the illness gets worse, it can be treated with:

Pills with green and white stripes

Antibiotics.

Person drinking a standing glass of water

Staying well hydrated.

Hospital building

Monitoring in hospital to avoid complications and to support the organs if necessary (haemodialysis, ICU support, etc.).

The donations that can be done through this webpage are exclusively for the benefit of Hospital Clínic of Barcelona through Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica and not for BBVA Foundation, entity that collaborates with the project of PortalClínic.
