Reading time: 1 min

The prognosis tends to be good, although some patients may require hospitalisation and may also have autoinflammatory complications in the mid- to long-term.

In patients with a severe case of the disease (Weil’s disease) or complications, mortality is around 40%.

Early treatment of the infection prevents a poor prognosis.
