Prognosis and evolution of cholangiocarcinoma

Cholangiocarcinoma is a difficult neoplasm to manage. In many cases, it is diagnosed at an advanced stage, when it is only possible to offer treatment with chemotherapy. In those cases in which surgical resection is possible, there is a risk of disease recurrence that requires close medical monitoring.
