Teaching and Training - Radiotherapy Oncology Service

The Radiotherapy Oncology Service of the Hospital Clínic is fully involved in the teaching and training of both the healthcare professionals of the Hospital Clínic, those of other centers, and the residents in the MIR and FIR training. It also provides training for senior radiotherapy technicians linked to the Accredited Center.

Degree

Service professionals participate as teachers in the subject of Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy of the Degree in Medicine at the University of Barcelona.

Each year the Service offers an opening for those in:

The Service enjoys a teaching level capable of receiving rotations from residents of other oncological specialties and other centers (national and international).

It also provides training for senior radiotherapy technicians linked to the Accredited Center.

At the same time, it participates in undergraduate training linked to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.

The Service is at the forefront of continuing education. These are divided into three types:

  • Scientific sessions. The latest advances in a specific pathology are set out.
  • First visit sessions. Specific cases are discussed that, due to their clinical complexity or relevance, are of special interest.
  • Technical sessions. The medical, radiophysics and dosimetry teams discuss specific cases which, due to their technical complexity, are of special interest.
