Psychiatry and Psychology Service

The Psychiatry and Psychology Service is part of the Clinical Institute of Neurosciences of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

The Service treats patients with mental disorders who belong to the Esquerra de l'Eixample area, within the area of influence of the Hospital Clínic, which has about 540,000 inhabitants. In addition, as a reference point for some diseases, it also treats patients from other districts of Barcelona and other parts of Catalonia.

To achieve its mission, the Service is organized into Sections, Functional Units and Care Programs, each with the following strategic objectives:

Develop comprehensive patient-based care
Modernization and protocolization
Incorporate diagnostic and therapeutic advances
Create an environment of excellence for the development of clinical research
