The teaching branch of the Nephrology and kidney transplant service aims to transmit the essential clinical knowledge for the training of both graduates in Medicine and specialists in Nephrology, along with the continuous training throughout their professional lives.

Degrees

The Service offers the fifth year of the degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona and in selected areas of the Hospital, with special emphasis on practical teaching. Several professionals in the Service participate as professors, associate professors, associates, teaching assistants and clinical professors.

MIR training

Training of resident inpatients (MIR) in the specialty of:

As well as in other specialties during rotations by the Service. Two specialized four-year training places are offered each year. Residents have accredited specialist tutors who oversee their individualized training plan. All members of the Service participate in the training of residents.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate training includes the training stays of specialists who, in general, come from other countries.

The Service's medical staff has been participating for years as lecturers in the following university master's degrees (University of Barcelona): Master's degree in Transplantation, Master's degree in Autoimmune and Systemic Diseases, Master's Degree in Critical Illness and Emergencies.
