Stroke Research at the Clínic

Research is conducted through IDIBAPS, specifically in the Clinical and Experimental Neurosciences Area and the Cerebral Ischaemia: Clinical and Experimental Studies group.

The main lines of research in recent years have focused on the translational study of oxidative stress in ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke; the description of the immune response in clinical and experimental models of stroke; and the study of thrombectomy in large vessel stroke. 

The research group has its own experimental laboratory and is part of the RETICS for Cerebral Vascular Diseases (INVICTUS PLUS) with projects funded by the European Commission.
