Obstructive Sleep Apnoea at the Clínic

Patients with suspected breathing disorders during sleep are referred to our centre. Their initial visit is to the Pulmonology Department, where a clinical history and physical examination are performed and the degree of diagnostic suspicion established. The type of sleep study requested depends on clinical suspicion and associated pathology. Once the sleep test has been carried out (either in the hospital or at home), the study is coded, the results are explained to the patient and possible therapeutic options are assessed. After the treatment has started, follow-up visits are arranged to monitor progress.
