Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder at the Clínic

Professionals at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Services and the Psychiatry and Psychology Services of the Clínic Barcelona offer evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The Clínic addresses this disorder with cognitive-behavioural therapy; the form of psychological treatment considered the most effective for the management of OCD. This treatment can be combined with pharmacological treatment.

This activity takes place at the Eixample Children's Mental Health Centre and Outpatient Clinics (Staircase 11, 3rd Floor) and the Outpatient Clinics at C/Rosselló, 140.

In a year, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Service carries out approximately 30 initial visits, 500 follow-ups and around 150 intensive treatment sessions at the Day Hospital.

While the Adult Psychiatry and Psychology Service carries out approximately 30 initial visits and 300 follow-up/treatment visits for people with OCD annually.
