Hip dysplasia research focuses on improving surgical techniques and developing biological treatments to prevent progression to osteoarthritis. Long-term studies show that periacetabular osteotomy is effective in preserving the natural state of the hip, with a success rate of 60-80% at 20 years’ follow-up.
