Anxiety Disorders research at the Clínic

Research activity is primarily carried out through the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS).

The main lines of research focus on:

  • Intensive psychological treatments
  • Biological variables that predict response to psychological treatment
  • Changes in brain biology related to psychological treatment
  • Experimental models and anxiety disorders
  • Predictors of response to psychological treatment in anxiety disorders
  • Validation of anxiety-related rating scales
  • Computer-based psychological treatments

Number of ongoing trials or research projects

  • A project led by the Spanish State Research Agency in partnership with Bellvitge Hospital.
  • An Alicia Koplowitz Foundation project, in collaboration with the Child and Youth Psychiatry and Psychology Department.
