Anxiety disorders must be diagnosed by health professionals who, through an interview, will collect information about the symptoms and situations in which the person is affected.
Before being seen by a mental health specialist, people with anxiety disorders are often evaluated by pediatricians or family doctors who refer the patient when they consider that the case requires specialized intervention.
