Research about Anxiety Disorders

Reading time: 1 min

Anxiety disorders are usually diagnosed through an interview with the patient via questionnaires. We are currently studying how to adapt these questionnaires, so that we can better identify people with anxiety disorders. In addition, research on group psychological interventions in which both people with an anxiety disorder and their closest relatives participate, is being carried out.

New technologies also play an important role in the treatment of mental disorders and so research is underway to understand how smartphones and virtual reality could help people with phobias to cope with situations that frighten them. All this information could be very relevant to improving future treatments.
