Researchers develop an epigenetic clock that predicts the future clinical behavior of cancer patients

Spanish investigators from the IDIBAPS-Hospital Clínic of Barcelona have led an international effort to develop an epigenetic clock that is able to trace the past proliferative history of cancer cells. This clock allows to predict the future tumor growth and clinical behavior of patients, and therefore could lead to more appropriate clinical management strategies based on the biological risk of the tumor.
