The new ATRAE call aims to attract recognized researchers to carry out cutting-edge projects in Spanish research institutions. It offers a grant of up to €1 million for a period of 3 to 4 years, covering the costs of the research project, necessary equipment and renovations, as well as a competitive salary for the researcher.
Recognised scientists working in any area of computational biology and biomedicine (single-cell genomics, omics and multiomics data analysis and integration, biomedical image analysis, among others) are encouraged to submit applications.
Successful candidates will be highly accomplished scientists with a PhD degree (obtained before 1/1/2016), with leadership experience in an institution outside Spain (at least 5 years, in the last 7 years) in a relevant computational field, a strong drive, ability for collaborative and interdisciplinary research, and international scientific recognition.
