The Clinical Institute of Nephrology and Urology of the Hospital Clínic develops lines of experimental and clinical research in the fields of urology, kidney and pancreatic transplantation, clinical nephrology and dialysis.

ICNU's research groups focus on basic and translational research in the field of nephrology, with an Experimental Laboratory of Nephrology and Transplantation (LENIT) and a laboratory dedicated to basic and translational research in the field of urology, especially in urooncology. It also has several clinical research programs.
