“See and Treat”

A “See and Treat” approach is applied in this area for diagnosis and treatment in a single visit. This streamlines the process; often making it unnecessary for the patient to return at another time. Patients are typically referred to this unit by other gynaecology specialists within the hospital.

In general, these procedures are well tolerated, but there are options for local anaesthesia or sedation if a patient needs it. In some special cases, this can be performed in the operating room under general anaesthesia for added comfort.
