Up to 10% of women with cancer are under the age of 40 at the time of diagnosis. The survival of these patients has increased dramatically in recent years, with more than 80% surviving more than 5 years after diagnosis.  These factors contribute to a growing interest in clinical and experimental research in the field of fertility preservation. Such scientific advances have been focused on the following research lines:

  • Optimisation of ovarian tissue preservation techniques.
  • Improving the survival of oocytes / embryos / ovarian tissue.
  • Tissue activation with various drugs.
  • Improvement of cell culture media.
