Chemoprotection techniques

These techniques consist of administering drugs to prevent the loss of ovarian follicles during chemotherapy treatment.  

It is currently considered an experimental technique and the exact mechanism by which the ovary is protected is not known, although various theories have been suggested. According to the latest recommendations of scientific and medical societies, it can be administered to young patients, mainly with breast cancer. It is especially recommended when other preservation options are not possible, such as cryopreservation of oocytes or ovarian tissue.
