Treatment of Zika

There is currently no vaccine or specific treatment for the Zika virus, which means that the most effective measure against the disease is preventing infection. 

It is important to remember that zika symptoms appear the same as those caused by infection by dengue.

Given that taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, aspirin, and similar) is contraindicated in dengue, this type of drug should not be taken until the diagnosis is confirmed, or at least until infection with dengue can be discounted.
