Prognosis of Umbilical Hernia

Postoperative complications include wound infection, haematoma, seroma or relapse. The recurrence of umbilical hernia with the use of prosthetic material is 4-8%. If there is no recurrence, recovery is complete and functional, and the patient is able to carry out normal activities and physical exercise.
