Prognosis of Typhoid Fever

Reading time: 1 min

The disease lasts for 4-8 weeks in patients who receive no treatment. By taking antibiotics that control Salmonella, the symptoms begin to subside a few days after treatment.

In rare cases, there can be serious complications such as intestinal perforation or digestive bleeding.

There is currently a growing problem with resistance to antibiotic treatments that are normally used for this disease, which can hinder treatment and worsen development.
