Treatment of Spigelian Hernia

The only effective solution for a hernia is surgical treatment. Due to its special anatomical location and the fact that the orifice through which the hernia emerges is less than 2cm in diameter in 75% of cases, the technique of choice is usually laparoscopic surgery and the insertion of mesh.

Prognosis of Spigelian Hernia

Postoperative prognosis is excellent, and recurrence rates are very low with laparoscopic surgery.
