Symptoms and signs of Ocular Orbit Diseases

Reading time: 1 min

The clinical manifestations and symptoms of diseases of the orbit occur with:

  • Bulging eyes (exophthalmos).
  • Red eyes.
  • Painful.
  • Watering.
  • Swelling of the eyelids with the formation of very noticeable eye bags.
  • Double vision.
  • Pain when moving the eyes.

Patients with thyroid-associated orbitopathy also have a very typical sign, eyelid retraction, where the eyes appear to be very wide open (wide-open eyes). Not all patients with orbital eye diseases have all these symptoms, it depends on the type of disease and its severity.
