Malaria is transmitted by:  

Mosquito

Bites from infected female mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles, which are most commonly found in rural areas. They mainly bite between dusk and dawn.

Occasionally through blood transfusions, organ transplant or by using infected needles.   

Pregnant woman

Vertical transmission, from mother to baby.
