Liver Metastases Research

Reading time: 1 min

The main lines of research focus on:

  • “Missing” hepatic metastases from colorectal carcinoma. These are metastases that have disappeared after chemotherapy.
  • Using vascular sealants to control intraoperative haemorrhage. The liver is an organ full of blood vessels which can therefore bleed during and after an operation. There are currently different products used to reduce this incidence. Our centre continues to investigate different products to improve or add to those currently used.
  • Inflammation and tumour progression in liver metastases from colorectal cancer.
The donations that can be done through this webpage are exclusively for the benefit of Hospital Clínic of Barcelona through Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica and not for BBVA Foundation, entity that collaborates with the project of PortalClínic.
