Living with Kidney Cancer

Reading time: 1 min

When diagnosed with cancer, as is the case with a kidney tumour, the first thing to be done is to accept the disease. If required, the patient can be referred to the psycho-oncology team to help them cope with this.

It is important to avoid toxic habits such as alcohol and tobacco, and to lead a healthy life with a balanced diet and moderate exercise.

It is important to sleep enough.

After recovering from surgery, the patient will be able to return to a normal life: to work, exercise, travel and have an active sexual life.

If the medical treatment is tolerated well, the patient can lead an active life, following the aforementioned measures.
