Reading time: 1 min

Hospital Clínic has developed several training activities on Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in collaboration with various associations for families affected by FASD, as well as the Local Government of Catalonia, within the framework of an FASD training project for professionals. Also with the Andalusian School of Public Health, and within the framework of a research project in collaboration with the Fundación Aprender (Learning Foundation) in Madrid, funded by Probitas.

An accredited FASD training resource is currently being developed on the web and in the Moddle environment. It is aimed at professionals and the families of children with FASD.

Hospital Clínic has participated in organising the FASD Conference, which has been held four times.

Furthermore, three sets of FASD guidelines have been developed:

  • Families and schools: developed within the framework of a research project funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Carlos III Institute of Health) in 2017.
  • Families, schools, healthcare and mental health professionals: developed within the framework of a research project funded by Probitas in 2019.
  • Families, schools and mental health professionals: developed within the framework of a partnership with the Local Government.
