Treatment of Contact Dermatitis at Hospital Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

Hospital Clínic carries out epicutaneous tests on around 400 patients a year, with the majority of these cases being a new diagnosis.

The patients are referred from other medical specialisations (allergology, occupational medicine, traumatology, primary care, etc.), and some dermatological sub-specialisms.

Currently, all epicutaneous tests on the market are available at Hospital Clínic, making it possible to study more specific cases, or those that are difficult to diagnose and have not been completed at other hospitals or medical centres.

The group actively collaborates in meetings of the Spanish Group for Research into Contact Dermatitis and Skin Allergies (GEIDAC), and gives training and support to other units at the hospital.
