Prognosis of Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a disease with a very good prognosis, despite the fact that chronic cases may often reduce the patient’s quality of life and, on many occasions, may hinder their professional activity. Furthermore, they may cause skin infections due to chronic scratching (which acts as a means of entry for bacterial and fungal infections) or neurodermatitis (a type of eczema), also caused by chronic scratching.
