Treatment of Aortic Aneurysms at Hospital Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

Aortic aneurysm treatment at Hospital Clínic is outstanding for its multidisciplinary approach. Each case is evaluated in a joint session with professionals from different specialties: cardiovascular surgery, anaesthesia, angioradiology and angiology, and vascular surgery.

Our aim is to offer, on an individual basis, the best technical treatment alternative (conventional, endovascular or combined surgery) with no limitations.

Hospital Clínic has extensive experience in this type of disease, with more than 120 new aneurysms operated on each year. These range from relatively standard cases to high and very high complexity repairs, including conventional or endovascular surgery for thoracic-abdominal aneurysms, open and endovascular repair of aortic arch and ascending aorta aneurysms, and parallel stenting techniques.

We also carry out emergency treatment of ruptured or complicated aneurysms using minimally aggressive endovascular techniques that offer excellent results in terms of survival and subsequent quality of life.
