In the majority of cases, the most suitable treatment consists of:
Using of rehydration salts and following a suitable diet.
In specific cases, the use of anti-diarrhoea drugs such as racecadotril or loperamide.
In moderate or serious cases, a medical assessment will be necessary to exclude complications and to evaluate the indication for antibiotic treatment.
