Research - Rheumatology Service

The Rheumatology Service leads various research investigations. Clinical and basic research form part of the aims and activity of the different areas of healthcare that make up the Rheumatology Service.

Various research lines are connected with multiple European collaborative projects such as 3TR and Hippocrates, which allow the characterization of a series of immune-mediated rheumatological processes from pathogenesis in order to develop a more personalized treatment.

This work is reflected in more than 100 publications in indexed journals and in more than 200 papers and reports at national and international conferences over the past five years.

The research is carried out through the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS), in the areas of Biological Aggression and Response Mechanisms and Liver, Digestive System and Metabolism. And specifically to the following groups:
