Neurosurgery Service
The Neurosurgery Service forms part of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona Neurosciences Institute. The Service is responsible for the surgical management of certain diseases of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system. The service’s professionals are responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, intensive care and rehabilitation of these diseases and educating people about them.
The service has two operating theatres equipped with the technology required for microsurgery and neuronavigation. The main operating theatre also has magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and intraoperative computed tomography (iCT) equipment, making it one of the most modern operating theatres in the world.
