Teaching and Training - Hemotherapy and Hemostasis Service

The teaching activity of the Service is carried out at different levels:

Undergraduate

Students are accepted for the obtention of practical credits of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona (UB).

Postgraduate

Resident training and continuing education in family and community nursing and medicine are carried out in the Barcelona Esquerra Integral Health Area (AIS-BE). The Service welcomes and trains residents in the specialty of:

The Service itself produces doctoral theses. In these cases, the doctoral students are usually specialists (MIR) who have been trained at the institution or come from other Faculties of Sciences at the UB or other Universities (Biology, Pharmacy or Biochemistry).

The Service's personnel work with standard diagnostic and therapeutic protocols, and several of its members have been commissioned by different scientific societies to draft their own protocols. These professionals have a proven culture of continuing education that allows them to remain in a position of leadership in various fields, which is reflected in their proven teaching ability.

The Clinical Hemotherapy and Hemostasis Service has the means of a high technological level and proven excellence to carry out its activities. Its technological capacity includes situations that require an immediate response to highly complex specialized studies or its activity as a reference center in clinical trials or research and development. It is a service that offers the maximum learning and development opportunities for professionals in training.
