Medical Officer

The Medical Officer is responsible for guaranteeing the professional development of the Hospital's medical staff.

The Medical Officer r is responsible for guaranteeing the professional development of the Hospital's medical staff in care, teaching and research and innovation activities, and for ensuring, in coordination with the Nursing Director, that clinical practice reaches excellent levels and conforms to established ethical principles. In this sense, the Director must ensure the quality, efficiency, safety and harmony of the healthcare activities carried out at the Hospital.

Dr. Raquel Sánchez-Valle, Senior Consultant in Neurology, serves as Medical Director since January 2024.

The Medical Officer is responsible for the Quality and Clinical Safety Director, the Teaching Director and the Research and Innovation Director, as well as the Emergency Department, the Medicine Department and the Surgical Department.
