Today, the Campus Clínic celebrated the institutional Saint George’s Day event in the Aula Magna at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona.
Dr. Josep M. Campistol, director general of the Hospital Clínic; Dr. David Bartrés, professor in the Faculty’s Department of Medicine, Dr. Michela Bertero, director of strategy at IDIBAPS, and Dr. Ethel Sequeira, family doctor at CAPSBE, took part in the event.
After the institutional speeches, there was a conversation between the journalist and writer, Andreu Claret, and Dani Arbós, director of communication at IDIBAPS, and Marta Oliva, director of communication at Grup 62 of Editorial Planeta. Andreu Claret was the winner of the Ramon Llull Novel Award 2023 with his book, “París, érem nosaltres”.
Xènia Peláez wins the 8th “El Clínic Enamora” competition
In this year’s “El Clínic Enamora” competition, the winning micro story was written by Xènia Peláez, a patient at the hospital. Like every year, the winning story has been published in bookmark format and will be distributed among the Campus professionals and patients. The prize, which consists of a gift voucher for the "La Impossible” bookshop, was presented by Dr. Josep González, neurosurgeon at the Hospital Clínic. The finalists were Laura Geli, patient at the hospital (1st runner-up) and Lydia Gaba, specialist in the Medical Oncology Service (2nd runner-up).
