The #100tífiques project is an initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), with the collaboration of the Department of Education of the Catalan Government to raise the profile and highlight the importance and strategic role of women in science and technology.
For the fourth year in a row, on 11 February, to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, students from 6th year of primary school and 1st year of secondary school from schools all over Catalonia will have the opportunity to connect with and learn about more than 450 female researchers in companies, research centers, and universities in Catalonia and the world. Also, this year, the focus will be on partially returning to the in-person format and improving the connection between the #100tífiques and the schools.
At IDIBAPS, approximately 20 professionals are taking part and will give a talk focusing on their professional and personal trajectories: Agnès Pérez Millán, Laia Bonjoch, Blanca García, Sonia Guedan, Andrea Rodríguez Agustín, Rosa Casas, Magalí Andreu Mondon, Gemma Chiva-Blanch, Lorena de Mena Álvarez, Cristina López, Rosa M. Muñoz Cano, Marta Kulis, Esther Pérez-Navarro, Silvia Ginés Padrós, Lorna Leal, Tania Johnston, and Alba Maiques.
