IDIBAPS, the research institute affiliated with the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, is organizing an open day on Friday, November 24th at 7:00 PM as part of the Science Week. There will be a tour of the laboratories and the biobank, where some of the biological samples used in research are stored, and there will be scientific workshops for children.
To participate, registration is required through this form. The deadline is Sunday, November 19th.
The Fundació de Recerca Clínic Barcelona-Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (FRCB-IDIBAPS) carries out excellent biomedical research and investigates the most common diseases in our society. Our mission is translational research; that is, we look to ensure that the questions that arise at the patient’s bedside find answers in the laboratory and that advances made in the laboratory are translated rapidly to the patient.
Around 2,000 professionals work there. One hundred multidisciplinary groups conduct relevant research, as evidenced by the more than 1,500 original articles published each year. FRCB-IDIBAPS is one of Spain's leading biomedical research centers and has a clear international vocation.
