Barcelona Research Foundation-August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (FRCB-IDIBAPS) signed a new cooperation agreement with the Barcelona Esquerra Primary Healthcare Consortium (CAPSBE) in May this year.
The aim of the agreement is to promote the development of joint research activities. At present, the IDIBAPS Primary healthcare transversal research group is mainly formed by CAPSBE personnel. The agreement aims to facilitate the mobility of CAPSBE professionals, enabling them to pursue research activities parallel to or in addition to their healthcare work. Moreover, professionals who meet the requirements can be accredited as IDIBAPS researchers.
According to Elías Campo, director of IDIBAPS, “the new agreement will serve to strengthen the links between the two institutions and advance research in such an important area as primary healthcare”. For his part, Jaume Benavent, CAPSBE manager, added that the agreement “consolidates CAPSBE's strategy aimed at strengthening research in primary healthcare based on our commitment to networking”.
