Dra. Berta Díaz Feijoo: “We want to help empower women in the treatment of gynaecological diseases”
She started working at the Hospital Clínic Barcelona five years ago and has been the new head of the Gynaecology Service for three months. In recent years, women’s gynaecological health has undergone significant advances thanks to new diagnostic and treatment technologies, as well as a greater awareness of the importance of reproductive health. Progress has been made in techniques such as robot-assisted surgery, and improvements have been made in the early detection of diseases. Moreover, there has been an increase in access to sexual health information and resources, promoting better education and the prevention of gynaecological diseases. We talk to Dr. Díaz Feijoo about the new challenges facing the Service in the coming years.
