Symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer

The most common symptoms of pancreatic cancer are:

  • Jaundice. Yellow-coloured skin and mucous membranes connected to an increase of bilirubin in the blood.
  • Abdominal pain. Abdominal discomfort, difficult digestion or continuous lower back pain like a ‘belt’.
  • Weight loss, loss of appetite (anorexia) and/or fatigue.
  • Steatorrhoea. This is a type of diarrhoea characterised by fatty (floating) stools.
  • Sometimes it is the first symptom of possible pancreatic cancer presented by patients with diabetes or pancreatitis.
