How many people does it affect frontotemporal dementia?

Frontotemporal dementia is an unusual cause of dementia, and it is considered a rare disease. It is estimated that around 1000 people suffer from frontotemporal dementia in Catalonia. In Spain as a whole, an incidence of about 1000 people per year has been observed in people aged 65 and over. Worldwide, an estimated 200 in every million people are affected.
