Diagnosis of Chronic Urticaria

Symptoms. Diagnosing chronic urticaria is always done using the clinical picture (the symptoms that the patient presents), as the skin lesions are easy to identify. Furthermore, the self-limited course and the absence of residual lesions on the skin, when the hives disappear, helps with identification.

Skin biopsy. In special cases, and in those in which the diagnosis is not certain, it is necessary to carry out a skin biopsy to complete the study.
