Can fever be prevented?

Reading time: 1 min

In general, infections and therefore fever can be prevented if the indications for antibiotic prophylaxis are followed before an invasive diagnostic test or surgical intervention. It is also a good idea to follow childhood vaccination schedules and medical indications before travelling to a tropical country.

If you have a fever despite having followed all the indications, then you should consult your doctor.
